Helicopter Pilot Courses
Airworthy Aviation Helicopters is a Part 61 Flight School. We offer several Helicopter Pilot Courses and Ratings. Students will learn in a Robinson R44 Raven I Helicopter.
The helicopter is equipped with Garmin 500 - Glass Cockpit and includes all required instruments for IFR (Instrument Flight Rules).

A helicopter introductory flight is an experience that allows individuals to take control of a helicopter under the guidance of a certified flight instructor. During the flight participates will have the opportunity to learn about the basics of helicopter flight, including how to maneuver the aircraft, preform simple maneuvers and gain an understanding of how a helicopter operates. This hands on experience provides a unique opportunity for individuals to get a taste of what it is like to fly a helicopter and can be a thrilling and memorable experience for aviation enthusiast or those looking to try something new.

An accelerated professional pilot course for helicopter training is an intensive and comprehensive program designed to fast track individuals towards obtaining their helicopter certificates and ratings. This type of course typically involves rigorous training in both classroom instruction and practical flight exercises, with the goal of preparing students for a career as a professional pilot. Participates in the accelerated program can expect to cover a wide range of topics, including aviation regulations, navigation, helicopter systems, emergency procedures and advanced flight maneuvers. The fast paced nature of the course allows students to quickly build their skills and knowledge base ultimately reading to a quicker path towards becoming a licensed helicopter pilot and starting their career in the aviation industry.

(PPL Helicopter)
A private helicopter flight course is a structured training program designed to prepare individuals for obtaining a private pilot certificate for helicopters. This course typically covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes both theoretical knowledge and practical flight training. Students will learn about helicopter systems, aerodynamics, navigation, weather conditions, and emergency procedures through classroom instruction and hands on flight exercises. The flight training portion of this course allows students to develop their flying skills under the guidance of a certified flight instructor. Practicing maneuvers such a take offs, landings, hovering, navigation, and auto-rotations. Successful completion of the course will enable the students to pass the required knowledge and practical tests to obtain their private pilot certificate for helicopters. This allowing them to fly helicopters for personal use or recreational purposes.

Instrument Rating (Helicopter)

(CPL Helicopter)

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument
(CFII Helicopter)
A Helicopter CFI Instrument Course is designed to provide helicopter pilots with the necessary knowledge and skills to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). This course covers topics such as instrument flight planning, instrument approaches, and instrument flight maneuvers. The course also includes ground instruction and flight training, which will prepare pilots to teach instrument flight to other pilots. Upon completion of the course, pilots will be able to provide instruction for IFR operations in helicopters.
